This training gives you as a speech-language pathologist the tools to teach parents to help their child use words and early sentences.

Cursusinhoud:

Do you regularly work with parents of late talkers? Then you might be interested in following this training. In this training you learn how to enable parents of late talkers to encourage them to speak. The focus is on children with a normal cognitive, comprehension, play and social skills, who are behind in their language development. By teaching parents how to respond to non-verbal communication and to encourage speech, you will help a child develop his/her language skills. This training certifies you to offer the Target Word Hanen Program® for Parents of Children who are Late Talkers.

Target group

Approach

Upon successfull completion of this training, you will become certified to lead the Target Word Hanen Program® for Parents of Children who are Late Talkers and will be included in the Hanen register. Through practical and easy-to-use strategies, you will provide parents with means to encourage their child’s language skills in everyday settings.

This training will be taught in groups of 15 or 16 participants.
